Soft and festive Hershey’s Red Velvet Blossoms Cookies with a rich cocoa flavor, vibrant red color, and a classic chocolate Kiss pressed into the center. These cookies are perfect for Valentine’s Day, holidays, or anytime you want an eye-catching twist on traditional blossoms.

Ingredients

1¾ cups all-purpose flour

¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

2 tbsp milk

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 tbsp red food coloring

36–40 Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped

¼ cup granulated sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

1. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.

2. Beat butter and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.

3. Add egg, milk, vanilla extract, and red food coloring, mixing until well combined.

4. Gradually add dry ingredients and mix just until no flour streaks remain.

5. Cover dough and chill for 30 minutes.

6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

7. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and roll each in granulated sugar.

8. Place cookies 2 inches apart on baking sheets and bake 10–12 minutes until edges are set.

9. Remove from oven and immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie.

10. Cool cookies on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Chilling the dough is key to preventing excess spreading.

Press Kisses in gently to avoid cracking the cookies.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
