½ cup granulated sugar

¼ cup brown sugar, packed

2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tbsp red food coloring (gel preferred)

1 tsp vanilla extract

¼ tsp salt

3 tbsp milk

½ cup white chocolate chips

Substitutions:

Gluten-free: almond or oat flour

Dairy-free: vegan butter and plant-based milk

Natural color: 2 tbsp beet powder

Instructions

1. Heat-treat flour by baking at 350°F for 5–7 minutes. Cool completely.

2. Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

3. Mix in cocoa powder, vanilla extract, salt, and red food coloring.

4. Gradually add cooled flour, alternating with milk, until smooth.

5. Fold in white chocolate chips gently.

6. Chill for 15 minutes before serving for best texture.

Notes
